The 2013 Cleveland Wine Festival took place this past Friday and Saturday at the gorgeous Voinovich Park in downtown Cleveland. Guests enjoyed an amazing view of the city and the lake, beautiful weather, an outstanding selection of wines, and a variety of entertainment.
Included in the admission price were 12 tickets for one ounce samples from any of the hundreds of available wines at the festival. Whether you enjoy a sweet moscato, a dry chardonnay, or even a Merlot or a Cabernet, there was certainly no shortage of wines to taste. Personal favorites we sampled included Aveniu Brands Chardonnay, Alexander Valley Vineyards Chardonnay, DFV Wines Pinot Grigio, and Treasury Wine Estates Skinny Vine Mini Moscato.
Festival admission also included a beer sample from the Best of Belgium Tour by Stella Artois. Along with a beer sample, guests were invited to watch a presentation by Belgium Master Chef Daniel Joly, who gave a lesson on the importance of using the appropriate glassware, pouring techniques, and beer and food pairing basics.
More than just beer and wine, the Cleveland Wine Festival featured an array of entertainment as well. Lloyd Dobler Effect took the stage and played a variety of current hits, along with plenty of old favorites. The same stage featured presentations by Brent Bowen with Barefoot Wines and Rodger Ressa of Deutsch Family Wines.
The 2013 Cleveland Wine Festival was a fantastic time and a great value! Guests sipped wine, enjoyed music, and expanded their knowledge of beer and wine.
